AudioFile Magazine...
Between Dr. Weil's conviction that walking is the best exercise and Fenton's upbeat dismissal of objections, procrastinators won't have a chance. How can you argue that you lack 60 minutes a week to improve your health? Weil and Fenton (an expert on walking) explain how walking is a "silver bullet," addressing health issues from obesity to diabetes to osteoporosis. Weil has a wonderful way of sounding as though he's talking extemporaneously without ever repeating himself, and coach Fenton is so irrepressibly upbeat and enthusiastic that you can't help but feel like lacing up your sneakers. The first CD offers persuasive facts about the health benefits of walking; the second includes a workout with audible pace cues that set different tempos for different levels of walks. J.C.G.
